Verwijder eventuele kapotte schelpen. Verhit de olijfolie in een ruime pan en fruit hierin de knoflook en de ui tot de ui glazig ziet. Blus af met de witte wijn. Voeg de schelpen toe aan de pan en doe de deksel op de pan. Stoom de schelpjes in een minuut of 8-10 open. Schep af en toe om. Kook ondertussen de spaghetti in een andere pan gaar en giet af. Schep de gaargekookte spaghetti bij de vongole in de pan.
